IT Consulting

Looking for an IT expert you don't need to put on the payroll?
Have an IT staff or consultant that needs help with a specific job?
LavaNetworking is an optional paid service that picks up where technical
support leaves off. "Behind the ethernet" support for
networks, servers and more. We do everything from installing NIC
cards and networking an office to server array design, selling (or
renting!) configured Cisco routers and other key hardware components
for LANs.
Systems Department
Manager: Julian Cowley- system@lava.net
The Systems team manages the network and provides continuous direct
and indirect monitoring of the system. This team always has an eye
on the ease of use and value of LavaNet services to our customers.
Our "Snappy Graphs" were developed by the Systems team,
allowing customers to measure DSL and frame relay speed and performance
for themselves. The systems staff not only designs LavaNet's network
but also provides sysop-level consulting services for clients. Services
include (but are not limited to) router configuration and installation,
network design, and general Internet consulting.
Support Department
Technical support is included with all LavaNet access accounts!
Our large and expert staff of trained professional support staffers
will help diagnose and fix routine connection issues scientifically
and carefully, with your needs in mind. We're on your side! Where
many ISPs will try to avoid their own problems by blaming the phone
component without investigation, LavaNet will help you test the
connection, assess the facts and identify the issues. We will acknowledge

Billing Department

the LavaNet billing crew is also one of the most highly crosstrained
departments, giving them a unique advantage in helping our clients
fully, and in helping identify when and if service type changes
may be beneficial.
MIS Department
Manager: Derrin Chong - mis@lava.net
Internal maintenance of LavaNet's LAN, fax, and printers is just
the start. MIS also manages the security and continued operation
of LavaNet billing systems, and provides their expertise to database
projects for LavaNet and our customers.
